Products

We make every effort to ensure all information on our website about the products is accurate, and we rely on information provided by product manufacturers. However, there may be occasions when this information contains errors or inaccuracies, and we reserve the right to make changes as necessary.

Variation and minor imperfections

Orders and Acceptance

In order to place your order, you will need a valid credit or debit card, a valid phone number, and a valid email address. You will receive a confirmation email with the details of your order when you place your order. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order placed by you, in whole or in part, at our sole discretion. Our email to you serves only as a confirmation that we have received your order and does not guarantee that the product(s) you have ordered are available.

In the unlikely event that our suppliers are unable to offer the products to us (due to a lack of quality or quantity), we reserve the right to remove any items from our website at any time. While we will make every effort to fulfil all orders, there may be occasions when we must cancel an order, even after receiving confirmation.

If a purchase is cancelled in whole or in part, we will contact you and quickly return any money you have already made to your original payment method. Depending on the bank, refunds can take up to 10 business days.

Backorder

On the majority of our products, we enable backorders. If a product is temporarily unavailable, we will set it on backorder and ship it as soon as it is available.

Risk and Ownership of the Goods

The customer receives risk in the goods upon delivery directly or to the address specified.

Where a carrier has been used to effect delivery, delivery to the carrier is the same as delivery to the customer. Therefore any claims for goods damaged in transit should be directed to the carrier immediately once received by the customer.

Refunds and returns

Change of mind

If you buy something from us and it doesn’t fit in your house or office, simply contact us online or via email. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee and will respond as quickly as possible. The period of change of opinion begins when the items are received.

You can either arrange your own transportation or we can come to your location and pick them up (Melbourne only). Upon receipt of your return request, the fee of the pick-up will be provided.

We will then have our team perform checks on the product when it arrives at our premises. The item returned needs to be in “as-new” condition. This means you have not used, assembled, damaged, washed or laundered any of the items. Items not returned as “as-new” condition may incur a handling and restocking fee up to 20% of the value of the item. Please make sure that the item is packed properly in its original packing to avoid damage in transit back to us. Once we have determined that our item is in a condition that is appropriate for return, we will refund you in full less all shipping and handling cost, if applicable.

Kindly note that you will be responsible for the actual shipping costs to facilitate a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes the actual costs of shipping the item to you in the first place and the cost of shipping back to us.

Fabhouz reserves the sole discretion to determine if our items are in a suitable condition for the return, and reserves the right to reject the request if it considers it unsuitable for the return.Clearance items (items tag with clearance) are not eligible for a change of mind return.

An order or any part thereof may only be canceled before the order has reached the dispatch processing stage. We will refund the product price and shipping in full. If you wish to cancel your order or part of it, we strive to send your order as soon as possible, so please contact us as soon as possible. “Custom” products may incur a 20% restocking fee if not canceled within 3 days of receipt of order confirmation.

Damaged or faulty items

Notify Fabhouz as soon as possible if an item is damaged or defective. Always start with a packaging inspection to elaborate on the physical damage to the packaging, make sure the package arrived in the opened state, and take a picture that clearly shows the damage. Here you generally need to include one or more close-up photos and another whole still / video for the entire package. Problems can be resolved more quickly through photo and video recordings that can clearly show the damage. Also, if the product is damaged or defective, please refrain from using, assembling or installing it.

Within 14 days of delivery, replacement parts are available for items that were damaged or malfunctioning. If an exchange cannot be completed due to stock unavailability, delivery issues, or any other issues that cause us to be unable to fulfil the original order, we have the right to refund you in full. Please keep in mind that we do require things to be returned for us to process the remedies, so please keep the original packaging in its original condition, including accessories and installation instructions, to allow repair, exchange, or refund. Any goods returned to us must be transported in appropriate protective outer packaging and in a way that can resist the normal dangers of transportation.

The courier will reject any loose products, and damages caused by poor packaging will result in additional expenses.

Notification must be given in a fair amount of time.

These remedies will not be provided if the product has become damaged or faulty as a result of misuse, failure to exercise reasonable care, failure to follow manufacturer’s instructions, or failing to tell us within a reasonable time after receiving it, in our reasonable judgement.

In rare cases, we may need to cancel an order due to unforeseen circumstances (last remaining stock destroyed), in which case there will be no substitute stock available as the manufacturer cannot or no longer produces the same stock.

Trade Customers

Change of mind return does not apply to trade customers.

Delivery Time Frame

All orders are processed and dispatched within 2 business days.

We will always employ the most economical third party delivery company (TNT, Star Track, etc.) in order to provide you with quality products at a very competitive price. Because of this, we have no control as to the exact timing of delivery and we may need some help if the item is too heavy for the driver to lift alone. All orders would be assigned authority to leave (ATL) by default to reduce the chances of delays with redelivery. If you wish to sign for your order when it arrives, please contact us or leave a message in the notes section at checkout. We will contact you and try to arrange it for you. The delivery will have to be re-arranged if no one is present to receive it on the scheduled delivery date, and you may be charged redelivery fees.

Warranties

All our furniture are covered with 12-months manufacturer warranty. During the period that the product is covered by, and you are used for the purpose for which it was marketed, it may show defects., We will work with you to reach a solution that meets your needs. We will provide you with a complete or partial replacement, send you any missing parts or components, etc. arranging a tradesperson to repair, offering a partial or full refund or store credit, or offer you with an alternative product.

The warranty covers structural, seating and covering. Defective goods will be rectified at no cost to you, regardless of material or labor costs.

The warranty period begins on the invoice date. In the event that a replacement or repair is required for a product, the warranty period remains as the date of invoice.

It is important to initiate all claims during the product’s warranty period. When a defect or fault is discovered, we recommend that our customers contact us immediately. To be eligible for a claim, please provide us with evidence of any defects or malfunctions that would aid our assessment and provide proof of purchase. Please do not attempt to return an item prior to contacting us

We reserve the right to not accept the return of a defective or faulty product where we reasonably assess that the defect or fault arises as a result of

  • Normal wear and tear including fading, discoloration
  • Accidental damages
  • Intentional damages
  • Improper usage or misuse the product other than what it is intended to
  • Improper storage such as exposing an indoor product outdoor in the sun or rain
  • Improper assembly or modification
  • Damages occurred during your own handling and transportation of goods from pickup or  drop-off
  • Defects in a product which has brought to your attention prior purchase
  • Damages occurred due to “Act of God”
  • Minor defects such as minor scratches, loose stitching

Product Safety Guide

In order to reduce the risk of furniture falling, particularly when children are present, furniture straps, angle braces, or anchors are highly recommended in order to secure furniture to the wall or floor.

Limited Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we, our directors and employees, and third parties connected to us hereby expressly exclude:

  • All conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity.
  • Any liability for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage incurred by any user in connection with our website, products or services or in connection with the use, inability to use, or results of the use of our website, any websites linked to it and any materials posted on it, including, without limitation any liability for loss of income or revenue, loss or interruption of business, loss of profits or contracts, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data, loss of goodwill, wasted management or office time and for any other loss or damage of any kind, however arising and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise, even if foreseeable.

This does not affect our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, nor our liability for fraudulent misrepresentation, nor any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Without limitation to the foregoing, we acknowledge that the laws in certain jurisdictions including Australia may imply warranties and conditions or impose obligations on the supply of goods and services through or by means of our website which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified except to a limited extent. If any such laws apply, then to the fullest extent permitted by the law of the relevant jurisdiction, and in the case of Australia to the extent permitted by the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), our liability is limited and if any liability remains it will be limited to any one or more of the following in our sole discretion:

  • in the case of any goods, the replacement or repair of the goods, or the supply of equivalent goods, or the payment of the cost of repairing or replacing the goods or supplying equivalent goods; and
  • in the case of any services, the supply of the services again or the payment of the cost of having the services supplied again.

Without limitation to the foregoing, you agree that in no event shall our maximum aggregate liability exceed the amount paid by you for the products in question.
